About Dr. BobServices
Dr. Bob Irmiger has practiced in the Boulder area since 1982. He is a graduate of Michigan State University, College of Veterinary Medicine and pursued advanced training from the University of Illinois, College of Veterinary Medicine. After completion of his formal training, Dr. Bob and his wife Sally made the move to beautiful Boulder, Colorado.
Dr. Bob and Sally, a nurse at Childrens Hospital Colorado, made their life together in Colorado, raising two (now-grown) children. Over the years Sally and Dr. Bob have had may pets, all of whom have memorable stories.   Most were pets in need of a “temporary”   home, but soon after became a part of the family.   Others were adopted from the Humane Society of Boulder Valley or other rescue groups.   In many ways, this may have been Dr. Bob’s start as an in-home veterinarian.
Outside of his house call practice, Dr. Bob’s other professional interests are diverse and varied.   He has worked with the rehabilitation of injured birds of prey. He has assisted as a trail veterinarian for the Iditarod Sled Dog Race in Alaska, and most recently as a research veterinarian for the Isle Royale Wolf Moose Project on Isle Royale National Park. Additionally, he volunteers for spay/neuter programs at various humane organizations
